“Famous lifesavers” is a series of nonsense animation-exercises in 3D-space to explore generative typographic vertex-geometry calculations.
Every animation is based on a single input string that can be defined by the user. The software then extracts the individual characters, calculates their vertices in 3D-space and returns the coordinates to the animation-pipeline. In addition to Processing‘s vector-functions, this animation is based on Geomerative, a toolkit for advanced typographic vector-calculations that extends Processing’s 2D geometry operations.
